Located in the Teotihuacán vale, to approximately 40 kilometers of Mexico D.F, we find the ruins of Teotihuacán, the most visited archaeological area of Mexico, superficially even of Chichen-Itzá and Monte Albán. The pyramids of the Sun and the Moon are the most important archaeological remains of this ancient pre-Hispanic city that breathes history for all the sides.

If there is an interesting place surroundings of Mexico D.F, it is undoubtedly, Teotihuacán. It is a question of the most important city of the ancient Mexico and the capital of the biggest pre-Hispanic empire. A place that you will love.

Not Olmec not even toltecas were the fundadires, so that today there is not known yet the people that created it. What yes is known is that the city was expanding of vertiginous form, happening to be the big state of big influence on other nearby peoples. That's why it is no wonder that along Mexico there are remains of this pre-Hispanic culture.

This city is realized in grid split into four parts thanks to two big avenues. One of them is the Roadway of the Dead persons, along which the remains of the city stay, startling the Pyramid of the Sun and of the Moon, the two most emblematic pyramids of Teotihuacán.

THE PYRAMID OF THE SUN AND OF THE MOON

The Pyramid of the Sun is the biggest of Teotihuacán and the second one of the whole Mexico. It is faced to the point of the horizon where the sun hides until August 13. There is a hut of information (telf: 956-02-76, schedule: of 9:00 to 16:00) along with the door 1. The entry to the ruins costs 3,50 dollars and the schedule is of 10:00 to 18:00

Better visit it with a hat and a water bottle because the Sun and the stairs of the pyramids can play past bad someone to you.

The best thing is to visit it across some of the turoperadores who exists in Mexico City.
