Located to the south of the Chiapas region, we find the city of St Kitts, a city that has great that to offer those who visit it. Despite not being the capital of Chiapas, it can presume to be the cultural capital where indigenous airs are breathed by all its corners. In fact, here they coexist indigenous to the different ethnic groups (tozil, tzeltal, lacandones …), in addition to half-caste and white. To walk along its streets and to observe its picturesque fronts is the whole luxury for the retina. Pero San Cristóbal is much more.

Church

The city supposes a strategic point for the tourism, since you give from here it is possible to gain access to different places of the Mayan culture, like the municipalities of Saint John of Chamula.

The church of Santo Domingo is a place that we must not get lost. Located in the center of the city, there talks each other of a temple with marked indigenous airs, characteristic that demonstrates again the importance of the indigenous culture in the city. The embellishment stands out in mortar of the front.

The Market is another point that we must not forget in our trip to St Kitts. The only place where indigenous from the whole region they stretch its position, offering to the traveler its craft.
