Mint
The currency of Mexico is the weight and it is designated by the symbol of the dollar. But not to confuse it with the North American currency, this one is designated by USD (that means American dollars).

In Mexico they accept all kinds of cards: Visa, America Express and Master's degree Card will be well received in shops, restaurants, hotels, companies of rent of cars etc. to Buy with credit cards offers an exchange rate more favorable than if we pay it to the few one.
Banks and exchange offices
Into the two it is possible to change money or checks of trip, but the change chasas are much more rapid. The exchange rate can change lightly between a house and other one. The hotel will be another option but it will work out for us more expensive.
